I love the fact that you can download demos to your dedicated gaming consoles. Of course, sometimes the demos are too restricted and you don’t get to find out whether a particular aspect of the game is going to drive you absolutely nuts (like the juggernaut perk, for example).

At any rate, at Major Nelson’s blog , Microsoft today announced the release of NCAA Football 09. I have to admit that I haven’t played this kind of game in some time, having been heavily preoccupied with, well, Halo3, COD 4, GTA IV–and a dissertation (kinda). But, you shouldn’t infer that I don’t love sports games or football. I love both. At any rate, it’s worth seeing what kind of improvements EA Sports has made on the last release.

Make sure to head to the XBOX Live marketplace and download it. The PWNORDIE staff loves to remind people to do this, because it’s fairly easy to forget to check what’s new on the Marketplace when you’re getting excited to pwn some nooooooobs….

And if you end up buying NCAA Football 09, someone please see if he or she can put Hawkeye football back on track. I’m begging you….
