Xbox 360’s sold out across Japan
Something I think many of us never thought would happen -
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 console has sold out in Japan! While the Xbox has
never been popular in the far east, the Japanese are always a dedicated
RPG consumer and with the recent release of Tales of Vesperia on the Xbox 360 we have seen something previously thought unimaginable.
This could be the start of something wonderful for Microsoft who have only managed to conqour western countries and with the influx of fantastic jRPG’s in the upcoming list of 360 releases it can only mean more success in Japan. Hopefully this will also mean more Japanese developers will pay attention to the console and release even more fantastic games on a console that is saturated with first person shooters.
The current Xbox 360 stock in Japan is zero and apparently Microsoft were not ready for such a intense increase of sales they are having to produce more consoles which won’t hit Japan until September.
All I know is that Square Enix and Microsoft are about to become very good friends. First Final Fantasy XIII on the 360 and with the releases of Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean: The Last Hope , and The Last Remnant the Xbox 360’s Japanese market will only grow.
