While
the world has collectively wet their pants at the opportunity to
finally thrust Spore into their machines and play their long awaited
game, it appears that some are being leftwith nothing but a sour taste in their mouths.
Thus far multiple
problems have appeared with the game, such as random crashes
(especially in the Space Stage), lock ups, server issues and graphical
glitches. EA’s new IP is also suffering from SECUROM issues, mobile graphics card problems and .dll problems.

These
would usually be acceptable from a newly released game in the sense
that customer support would be there to protect the new players,
however, as yet EA/Maxis are yet to respond on their complaint and
worry filled forums.

When the Spore Creature creator
came out, everyone was in the habit of creating phallic monsters, but
now, I imagine they will no longer be innocent representations of male
anatomy but a statement of the customer discontent aimed at the
creators of the game.

Word on the Internet is that the problems are widespread and if you have a laptop, be prepared for disappointment as apparently Spore is unplayable on them.
