Nominees Announced for "X-Play Best of 2008 Awards"
G4 and their hit show “X-Play” have announced their complete list of nominees for the “X-Play Best of 2008″ awards show that will premier in a one-hour special on the network Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 8pm est/pst. The show’s hosts Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb will be revealing the selections from the 20+ categories in the sixth annual special.

“X-Play,” the most watched videogame series on television, announced its nominations for the Sixth Annual “Best of 2008 Awards” as selected by the show’s team of gaming experts. This year’s list boasts more than 20 categories ranging from Most Original Game, Best Strategy Game, Best New Character and Best Sound Design. The show also includes five new categories: Best New Downloadable Game, Best Racing Game, Best Music/Rhythm Game, Best Handheld and Best M-M-O. The special takes fans through each category, revealing the winners and explaining in detail exactly why each game won, finally culminating with the highly coveted Game of the Year Award. Gaming fanatics and occasional fans alike should not miss seeing how the reliable heavy hitters like “Fallout 3,” “Gears of War 2″ and “GTA IV” match up against some of the newer titles like “Left 4 Dead” and “Mirror’s Edge.” “X-Play’s” hosts, Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb will reveal all in a special one-hour “X-Play Best of 2008 Awards” premiering Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 8:00PM ET/PT only on G4.
