MERRY XMAS! A short memoir

I hope you’re going to rock some video games today. I’m sure that Nick Smith and I will be playing Call of Duty: World at War. We have been having a lot of fun with this game. The maps are amazing and have a ton of detail. The JUGGERDOM STANDERS (juggernaut/martyrdom/last stand types) drive us both crazy. I’m not sorry to tell you that I’m anti-juggernaut. Beyond that, I’m happy with the multiplayer.
We have been trying to play the campaign in coop. On veteran, there are parts that are nearly impossible.Treyarch really loads up on the enemies. We tried to rush some German trenches over and over again, but there were too many grenades lobbed our way and we were blown to bits every time. I couldn’t stand to hear the same dialogue over and over, so eventually we gave up and tried it on the next lower setting the following day. Much easier. I suspect that veteran requires 4 human players.
In other news, I have retired from Halo 3 permanently. I’m tired of hearing the trash talk, I’m tired of losing teammates to quitting or network difficulties, I’m tired of the maps. It’s no fun to me anymore. So, I’ve booted it–to a good home.
I have been playing Left 4 Dead and Saints’ Row 2, and both have been fun.
I wish I had more time to play video games, but I have to graduate this next semester, and it’s going to get crazy. Hopefully I can sneak in a few rounds here and there…
Rock out your XMAS, and enjoy your video games….
