7 Nirvana songs added to Wii Rock Band Catalog
Harmonix and MTV Games continue towards fulfilling their promise to Rock Band customers that “Wii fans can expect a rollout of the previously released downloadable content until the entire back catalogue of more than 570 songs is available.” Last week it was seven songs from Rush, this week it comes in the form of seven more tracks from Seattle grunge band Nirvana from their 1991 album Nevermind, featuring the now grown up little naked baby on the cover.
Nirvana already has “In Bloom” in the original Rock Band game and then “Drain You” in Rock Band 2. The seven added songs are “Breed,” “Lounge Act,” “On a Plain,” “Polly,” “Something in the Way,” “Stay Away,” and “Territorial Pissings” which brings the total to nine available to Wii owners.
Each of these tracks is available seperately for 200 Wii Points ($2) each in the Rock Band Music Store. It is worth pointing out that these are all master recordings so you will actually hear Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl and not a tribute band. These songs were previously made available for Xbox 360 and PS3 owners. Now you can practice up in true grunge style for your summer rock band camp!
From Before: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lynyrd Skynrd, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cars, 30 Seconds to Mars are added to Wii Rock Band Catalog
