There is a virtual waiting line somewhere in cyberspace long enough to wrap around the building and extend down the block for download codes for the ‘coming soon’ Halo 3 Mythic Map Pack DLC. Bungie reports that rabid fans flooded (no pun intended) their email boxes with requests for the early codes they were giving away.

Other news in their weekly update included a Q&A with the man behind the Sandbox variant map “Tundra”, panoramic screenshots of the new maps, and mention of the Halo Wars release.

The most epic portion of the update though is a massive mosaic image of Master Chief (above). This ginormous (5335×5999) image is a recreation of the Halo 3: ODST Game Informer cover by Jaime Jones comprised of hundreds of screenshots users took of the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers in action for their screenshot contest. Owen Good at Kotaku mentioned that there is an urban legend that says there are more map pack codes hidden away in the image. He also points out that he spent an hour looking and found nothing, so have at it if you want.
