THQ’s Kaos Studios is Expanding
The economy has forced numerous gaming companies to scale back their spending on games and workers. Midway has been forced to discuss the idea of selling Mortal Kombat and even needed to team up with Ubisoft to help release Vin Diesel’s action game Wheelman. Awhile back THQ was forced to make some cut backs to Volition, the studio behind Saints Row and the soon to be released Red Faction: Guerilla.
Today some news comes that a studio is actually expanding. Kaos Studios, makers of Frontlines: Fuel of War, and part of the THQ family is looking to grow. Boasting sales of over one million units in their debut game and the record for most players on an Xbox 360 FPS game, Kaos looks to capitalize on the success.
General Manager David Schulman will be spearheading the hiring effort as the look to ramp up the staff as they move into full development on an unannounced project. “This is a very exciting time for Kaos Studios and I look forward to
expanding our very talented team,” said David Schulman, general manager
of Kaos. “Building on the success of Frontlines: Fuel of War, we plan to continue to introduce groundbreaking new features in our next project.”
