Dear Activision and Infinity Ward…

How about adding variable weather conditions to the maps in the upcoming Modern Warfare 2?

I always the rain on the map, Downpour, in Call of Duty 4. But Call of Duty: World at War doesn’t seem to make use of weather very much. Yeah, there are leaves and embers that blow around, and those really mess with your head sometimes when you are sniping. Let’s bring back some precipitation.

But why not have moving clouds that cast shadows on the ground? That would add some variation to the maps.

What about a snow map?

Or what about adding a way that players could move objects and build simple cover?

I’m kind of a dork about sniping these days, and sometimes I’ll run around a map by myself to try to find new sniping spots, but it seems like many maps have just a few spots that are worn out, at this point. I think there are simple things that could be done to increase the realism and to keep players on their toes.

I know there are going to be some naysayers out there. Let’s hear what you think.
