In an interview with IGN at E3 2009>, Shigeru Miyamoto hinted at some details in regards to the next Wii Zelda Game based on a single piece of artwork, not yet publicly released, that he presented earlier in the week at a developer roundtable.

Miyamoto confirmed that the game will take place in a different era and that Link will be older than he has been previously.  He also brought up the fact that in the artwork Link is not holding a sword.  When asked if Link had lost his Master Sword Miyamoto responded, “[Laughing] I just wanted to make sure that you understand we are making it. That’s all I’m going to say on that subject.”

When asked if the story would follow the progression of Twilight Princess, Miyamoto said, “ I can’t go into details except to say that it’s something completely different.”

While Nintendo is keeping their lips sealed about this Wii game, Zelda fans can still check out the new trailer for The Legends of Zelda Spirit Tracks to feed their Zelda hunger.
