Capcom announces MotoGP 09/10 for the 2010 season. It looks like the MotoGP series will be taking a new direction for its 2010 release of MotoGP 09/10. The game is being made by a new team this time around, Monumental Games, for the Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3 systems .
“We are thrilled that Capcom Fans will have an opportunity to enjoy MotoGP with the freshest content running parallel to the real world GP season,” said Mona Hamilton, the Vice President of Marketing for Capcom. “This is an exciting development for the series.”
MotoGP 09/10 is going to have some brand new gameplay modes that will actually reward the rider for their riding style. On top of that the player will be able to update the game with real-time content from the 2010 championship at no extra cost. We will also see the introduction of a full Career Mode where players will be a part of the ultimate MotoGP world championship, competing in races and managing all areas of their team. The player will hire engineers, team managers and press officers, and all of these have an impact on their career as a racing pro.
The game will also have three other gameplay modes that will deliver a very real experience to the MotoGP game. There will be Arcade Mode which is no longer limited to just crossing the finish line, but will add a ton of challenges where the gamer can earn and steal points from their opponents, this encourages a risk element for those who feel that burying your opponent in the dust isn’t enough. MotoGP 09/10 will also allow gamers to compete in a full championship season across all of the MotoGP’s three bike classes. Let’s not forget that there will also be a full online mode with leader boards and spectator mode for the gamers who would like to go up against other racers all around the world.
