Rock Band Unplugged gets Five New Tracks

On the same day that music has been announced for Guitar Hero 5, Rock Band answers with five songs of their own. The portable version, Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP, has added five downloadable songs to their growing set list as well. The Dixie Chicks are the headliners with The Pixies, R.E.M., and Stevie Ray Vaughan adding support. As an added bonus you can download Jonathan Coulton’s “Still Alive” made famous by the game Portal for free.

Each of these songs are available today for download at $1.99 per track from the Rock Band Unplugged music store.

Which of these of these songs are you most excited about?

- Dixie Chicks “Sin Wagon”
- The Pixies “Here Comes Your Man”
- R.E.M. “Losing My Religion”
- Stevie Ray Vaughan “Pride and Glory”
- Jonathan Coulton “Still Alive”

This brings the number of songs to download up to 19 for Rock Band Unplugged. Jamming out with R.E.M on the PSP is fun but I can’t wait to rock out as Ringo on the drums in The Beatles: Rock Band later this year.
