Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii Western Release Announced by Capcom

Capcom Entertainment announced today that Monster Hunter Tri is being released in both North America and Europe on the Nintendo Wii in early 2010.

This game is expected to set a new bar in the action/adventure genre with its introduction of new features and game play elements for the successful franchises first time on the Wii system.

This game is said to be one of the most strikingly beautiful titles ever developed on the Wii. Monster Hunter Tri will depict a living, breathing ecosystem where man and Fantastic beasts co-exist as they roam both the land and sea. The hunters will be able to join online hunting parties with up to four players or play with two players on a single TV for select quests. For those who are a bit more brave, players have the option to face Monster Hunter Tri’s quests as a single player experience accompanied by Cha-Cha, an AI hunting partner. New items such as weapons and armor sets will also be made available to help out the hunters on their adventure. After all, the Monster Hunter Franchise is no stranger to giving bonuses to its fans, much like the 8 free quests that were made available to fans of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite at Comic-Con.

People visiting this month’s GamesCom European gaming convention in Cologne will be the first to sample a localized version of the
title on Capcom’s stand. GamesCom attendees will have the opportunity to play the same
game that took last year’s Tokyo Game Show by storm, in which it created lines that were over five hours long.
