BlizzCon 2009, on August 21-22, will close with Ozzy Osbourne rockin’ the Anaheim Convention Center.

While the Blizzard press release goes on to blab about who Ozzy is, I ain’t gonna. If you don’t know who Ozzy is by now, you can’t be helped.

However:

“Our goal with BlizzCon is to deliver an unforgettable weekend of entertainment, and we can’t think of a better way to close out this year’s show than having Ozzy rock the house,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Many of us at Blizzard are lifelong fans of Ozzy’s music, and we’re thrilled that he’ll be performing for all of our BlizzCon attendees as well as those joining us via DIRECTV [for $40] and the live Internet stream.”

Oh, I get it. The Blizzard corporate execs threw themselves an Ozzy concert, and everyone else gets to tag along…. for a price.

I’m not complaining. I’d probably do something similar, were I in their shoes. (Except it would be Tool or that new supergroup with Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones….)
