Lost Planet 2 Co-Op Demo Coming August 19

While GamesCom is starting August 19 in Germany, Xbox Live users in the US will still have something new to look forward to with the demo for Lost Planet 2. This is the same demo that Capcom has been showing at events like E3 and Comic-Con and that people have been waiting to try out for themselves.

Players will be able to experience the desperate battle against the huge G-Type Salamander Akrid boss in online, co-op shoot outs. The demo will utilize a host of weapons scattered through out the arena. Players will face off against the huge monster in squads of up to four players as they attempt to bring it down. There are all kinds of ways to bring this beast down besides just shearing off its legs and going at it. A thrill seeking player may actually try being swallowed and fighting their way out from the inside of the monster. Maybe superior firepower is your thing, you know beams and projectile weapons. How about a weapon that allows teammates to boost attack and defense abilities?

While the demo is only a brief glimpse into the world of Lost Planet 2, it does highlight the range of weaponry available to the gamer while simultaneously showing off the high definition visuals of the game. While Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be downloading the demo on the 19th, Silver members will be waiting until to 26th to get their hands on it.

Still not enough Lost Planet for you? Check out Capcom’s new Platinum Hits Triple Pack.
