Last month we brought you news of Fedor Emelianenko’s inclusion into EA Sports’ MMA and over the weekend, the sports gaming giant announced the addition of Randy Couture to their game. Along with Fedor, he joins Gegard Mousasi, Renato Sobral, and new addition Jay Hieron.

If you have been watching fighting or gaming headlines over the past couple months, you may already know about the boiling feud between the MMA and UFC. Dana White, the president of UFC, has threatened to ban fighters that join EA’s game. White is likely not too happy with Couture’s announcement, but neither he nor THQ have said how it will affect the video game iteration.

This no doubt adds more tension to the air as Couture is a long-time UFC fighter and is even in the organization’s Hall of Fame. You may have seen him over the weekend in a Strikeforce event as Gina Carano’s corner (ironically one of our 22 Hottest Celebrity Women that Play Video Games) in her bout against Cris Cyborg.

We just think Couture is enjoying further affiliation with EA, considering that he was in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 as Commander Warren Fuller.
