While many gamers play and enjoy fast-paced first-person shooters, the more realistic titles in this genre often get overlooked. One of these, Operation Flashpoint (OpFlash), is a great example of an underplayed yet excellent game. The first release in the series received many 2003 Game of the Year awards and featured huge, explorable open worlds.

Codemasters, not a company to let a good thing pass, is following up the first OpFlash with Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising. The sequel will be released October of this year on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, and will take place in a modern setting with a feuding China and Russia. Last week the publisher/developer unveiled new screenshots and a trailer featuring the game’s vehicles:
