Another side of the battle for music game supremacy between Activision and EA that has been rather under the radar is the impending releases of Band Hero and Lego Rock Band. Each is aiming to provide a music experience that the whole family can enjoy, with music from pop acts such as Elton John, Maroon 5, The White Stripes, Ray Parker Jr., and Taylor Swift in their collective roster. As far as Taylor’s in-game performances are concerned, we are assured that Kanye will not be featured at all.

Today Activision named more artists that will be in Band Hero, including Fall Out Boy, Hilary Duff, Boys Like Girls, The All-American Rejects and Jesse McCartney. Here is the list of artists just added for Band Hero on consoles and Nintendo DS:
