Continuing EA’s trend of putting their games into comic form (Dead Space: Extraction and Dante’s Inferno) the gaming publisher, along with IDW Publishing, today launched Army of Two and Dragon Age comics. Each will be published in print to be distributed nationally at comic book outlets, as well as having a digital version to be released for iPhone, iPod Touch, and other digital platforms.
The terms of the agreement will have EA funding and manage the creative aspect of the comic book series while IDW will handle printing and distribution. IDW is the leader in digital comic book distribution and the nation’s third largest comic book publisher overall.
The Dragon Age comic will be penned by Ender’s Game writer Orson Scott Card. This is not Card’s first foray into video games, as some may remember the Xbox and PC’s Advent Rising, which featured a script written by the sci-fi author.
