USA Attacked, Americans Fall, in New Modern Warfare 2 Trailer

It was back in May during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers and Dwight Howard’s Orlando Magic, that we got to lay our eyes on the first full trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.  In that trailer and pretty much everything we have seen since the battle has been waged on foreign soil.  Even the multiplayer maps I got to play not too long ago brought the action to remote locations like the Middle Eastern deserts and even down to Rio.

Tonight Infinity Ward revealed another new Modern Warfare 2 trailer called “Infamy” during yet another live sporting event.   NBC’s Sunday Night Football matchup of the Pittsburgh Steelers (minus Troy Polamalu who was Madden Cursed) and the San Diego Chargers was where fans were able to tune in and see this two minute trailer for the first time.

This trailer is much different than others and may hit a bit close to home for Americans.  As you watch it, you can see an assuming American soldiers’ convoys hit by an RPG as they patrol through a town in the Middle East.  Then taking a page from Fallout 3, Washington DC has come under attack and landmarks are in ruins.  It is clear that the storyline in MW2 has just gotten “personal” and “real”.  Watch it below and let us know what you think.  Do you think it is too close to reality?  Also we want to know if anyone is planning on picking up the new COD MW2 limited edition Xbox 360 console or the COD Monster Energy Drink we told you about?

Just a little over a month until we find out if any of our suggested perks made it into the game.

It looks like its going to rock, close to home or not, this makes the game even more realistic.
    Death to the attackers.
