When The Beatles: Rock Band released, critics and gamers both found alot to like in the design that followed that of the band, the three-part vocal harmonies, and naturally, the music. However, more serious Beatles fans were likely saddened that one of the Fab Four’s most revered albums, Abbey Road, did not appear in the full version of the game. However Harmonix promised that it along with Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Rubber Soul would be released at a later date.
Well today, Beatles: Rock Band fans can now happily enjoy classics such as the Here Comes the Sun, Something, and more. Abbey Road is now available on the Rock Band Music Store for purchase. EDIT: “Come Together, Something, Here Comes the Sun, and The End” were already included in The Beatles: Rock Band, so gamers will not be charged for that song. No word on whether gamers will be able to play The Sun King medley from start to finish seamlessly. The “Sun King Medley” will be playable as a medley in the game.
