DirectX 11-Powered Dirt 2 Shows at Windows 7 Launch Event

Although Codemasters’ stylish off-road racer Dirt 2 has already been released on Xbox 360 and PS3, the PC version has still been in development and for good reason: it will have DirectX 11 under the hood.
For the uninformed, DirectX 11 is better than DirectX 10, which Windows games currently use. DirectX is what’s called an application programming interface (API). Put simply, an API is the way that games communicate with an OS (like Windows). The better the API, the better result on-screen. It is almost like a car with a faster and more efficient motor.
Regardless of the technical aspects, let these screenshots taken from the event do the explaining.
