Lipton releases Collector’s Edition Halo 3: ODST Diet Tea
In collaboration with Bungie, Lipton Tea is making a special batch of diet tea to celebrate Halo 3: ODST. The Halo 3: ODST Diet Tea will be available in North America in mid-November 2009.
Vice President of Marketing at Lipton, Susan Carruthers, said:
We are proud to be working with Bungie on Halo 3: ODST. We really feel that our new tea captures the essence of ODST. We’ve added much more water to out traditional blend, adding just a hint of citrus–about quarter of a drop of lemon juice. The new tea will have 1/16th of a calorie. This reflects the easygoing nature of many of the missions of ODST. Most of the time you just stroll from one part of New Mombasa to another, encountering nothing but cars that are far too small for any of the characters, as well as shops and buildings that have no advertisements on them. The tea is also nice to sip in case you die while playing the coop campaign, and there’s no safe place for your partners to go, and all you do is stare at the screen for ten minutes while your friend scours every part of the board, but nothing works and you’re just sitting there, like a jackass, but the screen still says “Waiting to spawn–area not safe” even though the nearest enemy is, like, 30 fucking miles away. The lightness of the tea will help you to remain calm while you wait for your friend to die accidentally. We think that our tea will nicely complement your ODST experience. While other games out there right now are all extreme and have all these bloated energy drinks, we think you will find that ODST and Lipton’s Diet Tea are cool and refreshing–not bitter at all.
The new Diet Tea will be priced at $7.95 for a 20 oz. bottle.
