Left 4 Dead 2 Demo Alive on Steam and XBL

Those chomping at the bit to play the zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2 can now do so as the demo is available for Xbox Live Gold users and on the Valve’s Steam service for PC users. The demo is a whopping 2GB in size and features 2 levels from the “Parish” campaign.

Don’t forget that if you pre-order the game from GameStop you will receive a code for an in-game bat to use. Even better than that, Valve has promised that anyone who pre-orders Left 4 Dead 2 will receive a hat for Team Fortress 2. The hat is Bill’s (from Left 4 Dead 1) and will automatically be in your TF2 character’s inventory upon firing up the game.

Another lesser-known option is that if you and three other friends are intending to take on the zombie hordes together, each can contribute about $33 and buy Valve’s Four-Pack, which, yes, includes four copies of the game.

Thanks to G4TV.com, we also have a couple video walkthroughs showing the Survival and Scavenge modes in Left 4 Dead 2:
