If you start up your Xbox 360 today, you will not get an system update. You will get Facebook and Twitter, though. It seems Microsoft is underplaying the huge bridge between social networking and gaming and letting the effects do the talking.

In addition to Facebook and Twitter, Last.FM and the Zune Marketplace have been added to Xbox Live. Microsoft’s plans to rule gamers are everywhere nearly complete.

There are a couple downloads to initiate the services, but are very quick and should only take a second.
