My experience with refurbished stuff has been fairly good. I bought a refurbished Sony receiver from Best Buy about 7 years ago, and it has served me faithfully the entire time.

Heh. Even my current XBOX 360 is “refurbished” since it got red rings and had to get repaired. (Not under warranty, I might add….) My XBOX 360 has been testy from time to time, but it has worked out. (I’m working on an article about how I took mine apart and cleaned it to get it working again. Stay tuned.)
