MotoGP 09/10 Demo and DLC Revealed

Capcom’s motorcycle racing sim, MotoGP, is coming out in March. But before that, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 gamers will get a chance to try the game out roughly a month before release.

The demo will feature the Mugello track and all three bike classes. Play as your favorite rider here in a battle to cross the finish line and be the star of the MotoGP season in Championship mode or race against the clock in Time Trial. For those who like to take risks, you can show off your skills in the arcade mode where extra time will be added for pulling off daring tricks but put in a bad performance and your dreams of making the poll position will be over.

Additionally, DLC plans for the game were today released by Capcom:

Just announced at this week’s Silverstone event, the first downloadable pack will include the 800cc bike class with bike, rider and team liveries, plus the new tracks for the 2010 season – Silverstone (UK) and Balatonring (Hungary). The second free DLC pack will include the 600cc and 125cc bike class with all the bike, rider and team livery updates. Both packs will be available for download shortly after the games release.

Rock Band Going Country Next Week

All that Rock Band ever has is rock. And I know it’s called Rock Band, too. I was just really surprised when I saw that Rock Band will be adding country to its extensive library of tracks. Wouldn’t that make it Country-Rock Band? No one educated me on the intricate web of music classification and which sounds cooler. Oh wait. I guess there’s already been two country track packs. The world of downloadable content is so confusing…

Anyways, Rock Band has a country track pack, the “Going Country Pack 03″ coming out next week that includes Kenny Chesney, Montgomery Gentry, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Trace Adkins, and Willie Nelson. The pack will be 800 MS Points ($10.00) on Xbox Live and $9.99 on Playstation Network. Individual tracks can be purchased for 160 MS Points ($1.99) on Xbox 360, $1.99 on Playstation Network, and 200 Wii Points ($2.00) on Wii.

Available on Xbox 360 and Wii (Feb. 2) and PlayStation 3 system (Feb. 4):

-Kenny Chesney – “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy”

-Montgomery Gentry – “Gone”

-Rascal Flatts – “Me and My Gang”

-Sara Evans – “Suds in the Bucket”

-Trace Adkins – “Swing”

-Willie Nelson – “On the Road Again”

(All tracks are original master recordings)

Kid gamer again wonders, “Who the heck is Dan K?”

Dan K png

Coralville, IA. Local adolescent video gamer, Jimmy Stillson, 11, today wondered “Who the heck is Dan K?” for the 7th time.

Jimmy, who stayed home from school ill today, was in a Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer lobby and saw that nearly every member of the other team paid homage to the mysterious Dan K in their clantags.

Jimmy strategically waited for a pause in the postgame banter and then casually said to the the other gamers in the lobby, “Geez, that Dan K sure is popular.”

After what sounded like someone blowing bubbles through a straw into Pepsi, DaRkKr0NiK420, another gamer in the lobby, simply replied: “What, kid?”

Jimmy responded, “You guys sure like that Dan K. Is he freakin’ famous or something? Who is he? Why does everyone put him in their clantags?”

DaRkKr0NiK420, recently edgy from both being fired from The Wedge Pizza and receiving an F on an exam in his Philosophy and the Just Society class at the University of Iowa, rebuked Jimmy with “Shut the fuck up, noob.”

As the rest of the lobby was far too confused to understand Jimmy’s question, his quest to understand the allure of the elusive Dan K to his legions of followers goes on.
