At the end of the last article I left you to consider the only possible outcomes of rampaging piracy on the games industry. The only two potential results would be either that the entire video-game market would collapse due to the lack of development, or that they would make it impossible to pirate. Both of these would bring about the death of piracy as we know it.

THQ, the company behind Saints Row, is suing production company Activision Blizzard for stealing their box art for an upcoming game, claiming they’ve copied it in order to “confuse, cause mistake or deceive the public into believing that the Activision Game originates, is sponsored or approved by THQ, when in fact it is not”.

The upcoming shooter from Treyarch and Activision is going to feature a Zombie Survival mini-game mode which can be
unlocked by completing the single-player game. The mode, featuring hordes of Nazi undead, can be played cooperatively with friends over Xbox Live and will definitely be a strange addition to the otherwise WW2 centric game.

The VIP demo for Endwar was supposed to go live on Tuesday this week for those that pre-ordered the game from Gamestop(US) and Gamestation in the UK. Although “enlistment” keys were sent out allowing customers to sign up on the website, no actual keys for downloading the VIP Demo on Xbox Live have yet been sent out to the general populace.

The much outspoken and apparently malevolent Cliffy B has said that Activision’s approach to outsourcing the Call of Duty franchise to Treyarch is a move that will cause it to become “Soulless”. Speaking to Developmag the Gears of War design director said that by handing over IP’s (Intellectual Properties) to other developers, a game’s “quality is lost in translation”. Bleszinski also mentioned that he wouldn’t allow another developer anywhere near Gears of War and that by games changing developers they lose their core ideals and end up being empty in comparison.

Did you ever play with your Lego as a kid and think to yourself, “is something missing?”, well perhaps this is what you were after. Only through the medium of a gory and horrifying zombie apocalypse can the potential of Lego ever be fully reached. Those were clearly the thoughts of the legendary Lego Builders who convened in Seattle for “BrickCon 2008″.
Valve luckily were there and didn’t miss an opportunity to plug their upcoming coop friendly zombie survival epic “Left 4 Dead”. Whilst we here at pwnordie are heart broken we couldn’t make it to a massive Lego centered convention, the awesome snaps of the apocalypse are below.
