Microsoft is undergoing quite a few changes with their dashboard system, and that is all for the better.  November 19 is when the masses get to experience the new avatars and all that the Xbox Experience has to offer.  Today we learn that we will get to make our own B-movies (like Night Trap had in the game) the day before the dashboard update!  When you see Burt Reynolds selling video games on TV, this is what he is talking about...

November 3, 2008 – Xbox 360 today revealed the release date for their upcoming cinematic title “You’re in the Movies.” On November 18, gamers will be able to test their acting skills with their friends and family to create B-movies so bad, they’re good!

“You’re in the Movies” brings the cool factor to kitsch allowing players to live out their dreams of becoming a scream queen, zombie or kung fu master. Premiering exclusively on Xbox 360, “You’re in the Movies” is the first and only game of its kind. Using the Xbox LIVE Vision camera, players’ mini-game actions are captured and placed into short, riotous films that put the spotlight on the unique and often dubious acting talents of friends and family. Performances never end up on the cutting room floor and are never the same.

Players will star in one of many classic movie genres, resulting from their hilarious and entertaining mini-game performances. ‘You’re in the Movies’ is the perfect party game this holiday.

Choose from 30 scripts including:

  • “Everyone’s Super” – Be a superhero alongside your friends with amazing super powers.
  • “Cold-Blooded” – A science experiment gone wrong causes you and your friends to run from a mysterious creature.
  • “Ninja School” – You and your friends go through extensive martial arts training to become ninja masters.

With “You’re in the Movies,” you’re about to be a star — if only straight to DVD. “You’re in the Movies” is rated E for Everyone and will be available packaged with the Xbox LIVE Vision Camera for an estimated retail price of $69.99.
