GameStop has had a lot of deals going on this summer. Even though a lot of them have expired there is still some life in the summer deals. GameStop’s exclusive pre-order demo for Madden will run along with the stores new deal running through July 26th.

In this series, I take a look at websites that show pictures of abandoned buildings that seem eerily close to Fallout 3’s depiction of a post-apocalyptic future. I’ve really liked how the Fallout creators have managed to make its vision of the future seem like a live possibility–one that we humans should avoid.

The Star Fox series has been trademark of Nintendo’s first-party releases since the original SNES release. Star Fox 64 was a cornerstone in many N64 collections and although the GameCube’s Star Fox Assault had good intentions, it didn’t quite pull off the classic rail-shooter feel that made Star Fox popular in the first place.

TheSpeedGamers are a group of gamers who have raised approximately $32,000 for various charities by putting on several different video game marathons. $10,000 of their total donations were raised during the 72 hour Earthbound marathon in May 2009.

We told you last month about the classic unlockables to be found in G.I. JOE The Rise of COBRA and it seems that EA is not done yet. Those that preorder G.I. JOE The Rise of COBRA will receive a special code to unlock select playable characters in their classic uniform from the original 1980’s G.I. JOE cartoon/toy series.

Earlier this morning, Sega released a mysterious new “Jackpot” website where web users click a slot machine-type handle and are given 6 “random” numbers. As for why or what this website is about, Sega has stated “What it is, we’re not saying yet…” But thanks to some clever sleuthing, we have found the word “Sonic” in the page source.

Activision Publishing (Nasdaq: ATVI) and id Software announced today the legendary first-person action title, the original Wolfenstein 3D will be available for download on 3rd June on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and 4th June on PLAYSTATION Network for PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3).
