In this series, I take a look at websites that show pictures of abandoned buildings that seem eerily close to Fallout 3’s depiction of a post-apocalyptic future. I’ve really liked how the Fallout creators have managed to make its vision of the future seem like a live possibility–one that we humans should avoid.

Yeah, yeah. I’m behind the times a bit here, and I’m playing Fallout 3 a little later than a lot of people. (But there are decent reasons for that.)
At any rate, I’ve been enjoying the game a ton, and I’m gearing up for the DLC at this point, since I’m at level 20 and have discovered most of the locations and have just a few loose ends to tie up on the quests.

Fallout 3 from Bethesda Software has had a very successful run since launching last fall, taking home several “Game of the Year” awards and topping $300 million in initial sales. Players have fallen in love with the expansive and rich world of the RPG and have continually wanted more.
