We have the red and blue Halo Wars artwork. Red and blue have been the generic colors to show the two sides of the Halo universe, this thematic artwork does a great job of illustrating the two sides. Which side would you rather be on?

Just in case you are not tired of hearing the Halo music, a company is releasing the soundtrack to the Halo trilogy. I don’t know about you, but I could do without the song that accompanies the main menu.

What are your thoughts on Halo 3: Recon ?
Nick Smith and I are in general agreement that Bungie’s initial trailer made it seem like a new something was right around the corner. But winter 2009? That should’ve been Halo 4, brosef.
I really hope that I’ve put Halo 3 down by winter 2009. It’s been driving me bonkers lately.

Bungie has unvelied the map previously known as “Purple Reign.” It’s now called Assembly. Unfortunately they won’t/can’t say anything about how or when it will be released. Here are some screens of it though:

Here is some interesting, and disturbing, info from MTV.com:
Earlier this month, a hacker bragged that he’d gained access to the Xbox Live identity — or gamertag, as it’s known — of “Halo 3″ multiplayer producer Joe Tung. This allowed him access to Tung’s account and personal information. Tung isn’t alone.

From Shacknews:
Bungie recently shot down its own rumors that bots–artificial intelligence opponents–would be added to its hit Xbox 360 shooter Halo 3. The studio behind Halo had created the bot buzz in a video acceptance speech for an EDGE Magazine award.
In denying the rumors, community manager Luke Smith blasted select members of Bungie’s famously devout [...]

So Kotaku reports the following:
Let’s review: Back in February, Gearbox Software honcho Randy Pitchford
put up a job listing for senior artist, adding: “I’ve started a new
project. It’s big. It’s, like,
look-at-our-line-up-and-imagine-something-even-bigger kind of big. I’m
Directing it myself. I can’t mention it publicly yet. When you find out
what this is, you’ll likely agree that I can’t oversell this one.”

I thought I’d take a quick break from the news to offer some reflections about Halo 3’s recent “behavior.” I’d love to hear your comments on these thoughts.
The spawn system is crazier than ever. It seemed that, around 7 months ago, the spawns were more predictable. This, however, led to spawn-killing to the advantage of the team with the momentum at hand and knowledge of the spawns.Nick Smith and I once suffered through a game on Narrows in which two new-account-wielding-but-otherwise-50s sat on top of the bridge with sniper rifles and tore our heads off the second we spawned.

A patch is now available to all of you still playing Halo: Combat Evolved on your PC. And as awesome as that game is (I still play it on my Xbox 360), it is understandable that you’d still be playing and that patches would still be coming out. Here is a link to the Halo PC Forum where you can find the patch. And here is what they say:
