Treyarch and Activision announced today that COD4 is headed to the Wii . Treyarach is “porting” the game to the Wii. It will arrive on November 10th, at the same time Infinity Ward releases Modern Warfare 2.

It looks like Infinity Ward is following what Microsoft just did with the Gears of War 2 achievement hackers and will be doing the same for cheaters of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. According to Robert “FourZeroTwo” Bowling, Director of Communications at Infinity Ward, there is a patch in the works to stop cheaters on the Xbox 360 platform.

There was an update a few weeks ago that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was getting new playlists and a double XP weekend to boot. This turned out to be “wrong intel” and was actually an update for Call of Duty: World at War.

According to Robert “FourZeroTwo” Bowling at Infinity Ward, COD4 is not only getting a double XP weekend for Xbox Live and Playstation Network, but the “Variety Map Pack” will be for sale at 50% off, and there will be a new playlist called “Hardcore Headquarters”.
