Multiple titles release today across many platforms, including a few AAA titles and even more DS games

Throughout the years, one aspect of society that has remained separate from the games industry is politics. It seems Activision is in a song list announcement mood (you know what I am talking about right?), as they have recently released the soundtrack to Tony Hawk: RIDE, shortly after announcing the same for DJ Hero. Although huge song lists are commonplace among games these days, Tony Hawk: RIDE does not seem ready to give up the ghost yet.

One of the most unique games and controllers to be seen in the industry in the form of DJ Hero is nearing distribution, and to prime this release, Activision has today taken the cover off of the game’s song list.

Following up on the addition of Grandmaster Flash, DJ Jazzy Jeff, and more in DJ Hero, Activision today announced that the talents of The Scratch Perverts and DJ Yoda will be in their turntablist game this October. Yesterday we were told about Guitar Hero 5 + Van Halen. Hmm, what will we see tomorrow?

This Fall, gamers will see a couple new peripherals on shelves, and coincidentally (maybe) Activision is behind both. One is DJ Hero’s turntable and the other, as you may have noticed above, is Tony Hawk: RIDE’s motion-sensing skateboard controller.

Activision has been at it putting famous artists like Carlos Santana and Shirley Manson in Guitar Hero 5 and Taylor Swift in Band Hero. No game has more stars in it than DJ Hero. With the likes of Grandmaster Flash and DJ Jazzy Jeff already in the game and JAY-Z and Eminem promoting it, Activision today has added DJ AM, DJ Shadow, and DJ Z-Trip to the roster.

Today Activision released details of a special ‘Renegade Edition’ for their upcoming music game DJ Hero. The DJ Hero ‘Renegade Edition’ will include a premium Renegade turntable controller, hardshell turntable carrying case that converts to a performance-ready DJ stand, and an exclusive JAY-Z and EMINEM 2-CD pack featuring unreleased tracks.

Earlier this month we let you know about legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash coming to DJ Hero. Today Activision announced that they are adding yet another turntablist, the Grammy Award winning DJ Jazzy Jeff, one half of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince.
