With so many music games, Band Hero seems to be in the shadows of its bigger siblings Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero, and Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Activision however is confident that this “family oriented” adaptation of the Guitar Hero franchise is going to be successful. With artists such as KT Tunstall, Taylor Swift, and The Jackson 5 among others, Band Hero has undeniable talent.

Let the downloading begin! With every music game released you know to expect a huge mountain of downloadable content to follow behind. With Guitar Hero 5 released last month, I was interested to see what Activision was going to offer to help spice up the all ready massive set list.

Activision is celebrating it with a 25% discount on ten of their “favorite” tracks. Starting September 28th and lasting on October 4th these ten tracks will have a discount price.

Another week has almost passed without more Guitar Hero World Tour songs. Luckily, Activision has not forgotten their faithful followers and is again bringing music to concerts in living rooms worldwide.

This week, Activision is offering up the 2nd of 3 track packs for Guitar Hero World Tour in July, this time with music from Vagrant Records.

Ready for some new tracks on Guitar Hero World Tour since you just pre-ordered Guitar Hero 5 and are ready to shred? The Eagles of Death Metal Track Pack is now available for download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 440 Microsoft Points and from the PlayStation store for $5.49.

Activision today released the Victory Records Track Pack for Guitar Hero World Tour on Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. The pack includes the three tracks “NJ Legion Iced Tea” from A Day to Remember, “Bomb the World” from The Sleeping, and “I Am The Arsonist” by Silverstein.

Aspiring virtual rockers can pick up the Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit from Activision for $89.99 starting July 12th through August 12th at GameStop. The Band Kit includes a guitar, drum kit, microphone, the Guitar Hero World Tour game itself, and retails at $189.99. Unfortunately this deal can only be found at retail locations and not online at GameStop’s website.
